Species profile
The ctenophore has a transparent, light brown body 20 – 30 cm in length, covered with many papillae. It has two large lobes and 2 (not stinging) tentacles. There are 8 stripes of cilia along the body that are important for ctenophore locomotion. It is a native species in the Adriatic Sea. Ctenophores do not have stinging cells. They are all not stinging.
