Latin name: Hidromeduza
Species profile
Medusa has a flat transparent umbrella with many white, pink or black radial stripes. There are several long tentacles at the umbrella margin. It can grow up to 15cm in bell diameter. It is a native Hydromedusa in the northern Adriatic Sea and its presence is reported during winter and spring. This jellyfish has a mild sting.
