Species profile
Cerithium vulgatum is a type of sea snail with an elongated, spiral, pointed and furrowed shell. It feeds on algae and detritus scraped from the surface of the seabed. It reproduces sexually by male and female gametes through external fertilization. The inside of the armor is smooth and white.
